Match On Card
Not all biometric technology is the same. What properties make match on card a key component of a solution? The advantages are:
- the cards with the finger-print biometrics are kept by the card user – greatly reduces the probability of mass personal data loss by the scheme owner
- no central database – data retention and data lifecycle issues reduced or eliminated
- no central data centre – rapid, lightweight and appropriate deployment of the solution
- no central tracking - not for use where card users need to be tracked and identified against a central database, but appropriate where the requirement is personal verification
- already a two-factor scheme - physical possession of a card and fingerprint match – can be extended to three-factor by introducing a PIN.
We work with Precise Biometrics who are the world leaders in this technology.
