Thursday, July 27th, 2006

One Point’s website goes live! Certain parts of the website are still under construction and might not be available to you immediately. These at least include the Resources section and Password-protected area. However, we have completed the About us and Solutions sections. This should provide complete information on who we are and what we offer. Please send your feedback to us for the website so that we can learn and improve. We are trying to make the complete contents of this website to be available by 10/Aug/2006. Thank-you for your patience!

One Point signed up as Alfresco Gold Partner

Tuesday, July 11th, 2006

On 11/Jul/2006, One Point has signed up as Alfresco’s Gold Partner enabling us to supply Alfresco Enterprise Edition - world’s most powerful Enterprise Content Management System.

Alfresco offers true Open Source Enterprise Content Management (ECM) - Document Management, Collaboration, Records Management, Knowledge Management, Web Content Management and Imaging.

Alfresco uses best-of-breed Open Source technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, Lucene, modern standards such as JSR-168, JSR-170, Web Services and Java Server Faces and is built by a team with 15 years experience in this space, including the co-founder of Documentum.

Alfresco dramatically lowers total cost of ownership through open source distribution, working in the user’s native environment, minimizing training and using low cost, loosely coupled hardware.

One Point aims to exploit Open Source - particularly the Commercial Open Source Software in order to provide enterprise-grade software at a low cost. This allows us to follow our mission, which is to sell high-quality products and services at a sensible price.

Partnership with Alfresco will allow us to introduce the many benefits of Commercial Open Source amongst our clients by enabling us to supply Alfresco Enterprise - the first Open Source ECM with the host of features found only in the most elite Proprietary counterparts. And we can make this available at only a fractional cost than what would be required in case of Proprietary Software.
